ok, this is going to sound crazy to a lot of people..

...but i am totally excited about getting a Prius. I put a deposit on one a few weeks ago, not sure when I actually get it.

Yes, the Porsche was super fun to drive, and I'm sure the Prius is gonna feel sluggish as hell... BUT:

1) I get to drive in the carpool lane (anyone living in California understands what a big deal that is!! no $271 fines for me..)

2) It's good for the environment

3) Over the almost 4 years I've had the Porsche, it has been to the shop for defects about 6 or 7 times. This includes having the engine replaced twice. TWICE!! Even if I drove the engine hard, which I don't, I wouldn't expect to replace it even once. Porsche takes really good care of people when things go wrong, which is why I figure they get really high customer satisfaction ratings, but the truth is, I'd rather things just not go wrong to begin with.

So, I'm going back to Toyota for now. I had my parent's old Camry forever, and that thing wouldn't die, no matter how poorly I treated it. Seriously, I wish my relationships were that steady and reliable ;) Yea I know the car isn't as stylish, but I still think it's HOT in its own way.

Not sure what I'm gonna do with the Porsche now. If I end up trading it in, given that its warranty period is almost over, I'd hate to be the one to buy it used!

Very millennium :) I'm still holding out for a different kind of car, though... I'm living in the 21st century so where are my damn flying cars?! :)

Looks really small, you'll probably save alot of gas I'm guessing. Maybe if you say your the famous co-creator of the hot or not website, it won't matter if your used porsche has problems. People may be lined up to buy it, LOL! Oh, and I agree on the camrys, those things last forever. JENNnOHIO/yafro

The Prius may seem like a step down but it's a hell of a lot more sensible and hey, it looks damned nice. Hope it all works out for you. P.S. I just recently discovered Hot or Not and I went ahead and posted a pic. I'm not doing very well. Lol. Oh well. Good luck with your new ride. Let us know how it drives. :)

If you are all for the indestructible toyota, check out a toyota supra. Done right it can be a crap load faster than your porsche and get better gas. Plus they are almost bomb proof.

prii are in fact beautiful, lavish vehicles. They are spacier than expected and I think I love them. Plus the screen thing is pretty wicked in the front.. I'm sure you won't be dissapointed, it's a pretty smooth ride.

Angellady,
Sorry to hear about your dilemma, but have you ever heard the saying, "buyer beware"? On any site there are people trying to scam you, but it is your responsbility as an adult to not give in to these people. You need to be cautious and try not to trust people too easily. Do not give out personal information too quickly!

That's great you got a Prius but you are still a slave to the oil industry. Have you thought about buying a diesel car and converting it to a greasecar so it usings vegetable oil? I heard cars run very well. Just google greasecar for more info!
